A delicious recipe for spinach ricotta stuffed shells featuring turkey bacon that offers both comfort and flavor.

  • 12 large jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo shells according to package instructions; drain and cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, spinach, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each shell with the ricotta mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  5. Spread marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and crumbled turkey bacon.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add Italian herbs to the ricotta mixture.
  • This dish can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
