Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice (Nobu Copycat)

A delicious and easy to make Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice recipe that replicates the famous Nobu dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 pound sushi-grade tuna
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons scallions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. Mix rice vinegar with cooled rice and form into squares.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the rice squares until crispy.
  4. While frying, mix tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, sesame oil, and scallions in a bowl.
  5. Once rice is crispy, top with the spicy tuna mixture and drizzle with soy sauce.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
  • For best texture, use short grain sushi rice.
