Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Add the milk-yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix until it forms a dough.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough and spread a layer of melted butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll the dough into a log and cut into individual rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
