Pumpkin, Ricotta & Caramelized Onion Tart with Bacon and Sage

A delicious combination of pumpkin, ricotta, and caramelized onions with the added richness of turkey bacon and sage, perfect for a cozy meal.

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 onion, caramelized
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine pumpkin puree, ricotta cheese, caramelized onions, chopped turkey bacon, and fresh sage.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  4. Place the pie crust in a tart pan, and pour the pumpkin mixture into the crust.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the turkey bacon.
  • Can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
