Greek Turkey Meatballs with Tzatziki

A delicious recipe for Greek turkey meatballs served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki by mixing the yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, and minced garlic in a bowl. Season with salt to taste.
  6. Serve the meatballs hot, with tzatziki on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add feta cheese to the meatball mixture.
  • These meatballs can also be grilled for a smoky flavor.
