  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 package (9 ounces) cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and diced tomatoes; bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the tortellini and cook according to package directions.
  5. Stir in the spinach and heavy cream, cooking until heated through.
  6. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
