- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and sugar until smooth over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in eggs, one at a time, followed by the flour, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt until everything is well combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

- Let the brownies cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the mousse, melt the bittersweet chocolate and mix with espresso powder until smooth. Set aside to cool.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks and gently fold in the cooled chocolate mixture.
- Spread the mousse on top of the cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
