  • 4 tablespoons mustard
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 pickle, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread mustard on each slice of beef.
  3. Lay bacon, onion, and pickle on the beef.
  4. Roll the beef tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. In a pan, heat oil and brown the rouladen on all sides.
  6. Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Transfer to the oven and bake for 1.5 hours.
  8. Remove rouladen and make a gravy with drippings.
